Check if the same happens on another PC. It seems like the files were not saved on the flash. Did you get some error or no notification at all? If there is no important data on the flash drive, format it and check again. I strongly recommend you to check the topic below.

Diskpart
List disk
Select disk n (where n is the number of the drive)
Clean
Create partition primary
Active
Select partition 1
Format FS=Fat32
Press enter after every command. Formatting may take some time.
