Laptop will not turn on

Hello,
My Dell laptop did the same thing at first the light came on until I tried the steps suggested after placing the battery back on the light will not come on. Do you have any more suggestions for me to try maybe I did something wrong.

There are no other magic tricks. A PC repair shop is the next option.
