Hello,

I have an Acer Asprie - I accidentally spilled some acetone on the keyboard area and the keyboard no longer works properly. If I plug in a USB keyboard, everything is fine, but I purchased a replacement laptop keyboard and both the original laptop keyboard and the replacement 1/2 the keyboard doesn't work properly. Either the key doesn't work at all (like the return key) or some of the letters in a row when pressed come up with numbers on the screen. Is there anything else I may be able to replace to rectify this or is my laptop toasted.... it is a pain in the butt carrying around a seperate keyboard to plug into it... The tracking pad works fine... just the right side of the keys in both the wrecked and new keyboard don't seem to work properly.

I am certain it is not the PHYSICAL keys that are messed up, it is the circuitry that the liquid destroyed that is messed up. Stay with the external keyboard.
