Hey there, gen.
I'd recommend that you connect the drive to a different computer either externally (via an external enclosure, a docking station, or a SATA to USB adapter), or internally via a SATA connection, to see if it's recognized. If it is - go ahead and backup any important data which you might have on it. However, if the drive is not recognized, try accessing it via Linux Live USB/DVD, to see if it's properly recognized and if you can get to your files, or try with data recovery software.
