Community,

I purchased this laptop last year and it has been working just fine until I tried to sign in last night. The touch pad works and I can move the cursor around, but the keyboard is frozen and I cannot sign on my password. I've rebooted at least four times, used ctrl+alt+shift+del, ctrl+alt+del, fn+F3, fn+F6 and that has not worked. Any assistance will be helpful. I bought the laptop from Best Buy.

Did you run the Dell hardware diagnostics? I think it's F12 right after you see the Dell logo.

You might need to run a Windows "repair" from the DVD. You did burn a Windows DVD when the computer was new?
