Compaq Presario F700 Monitor Issue
Closed
Hello,
My Compaq Presario F700 Widescreen laptop aquired an interesting but annoying issue a couple of days ago. Upon restarting the computer the computer turned on beeped 3 times (one long and two short quick beeps) and the monitor stays black, unable to see anything, but the computer remains on, OS stays on and everything as if you leave it alone, you are able to hear Windows boot up etc. etc. I would really prefer to keep my computer here with me and not send it off, if theres something I can do myself, please any help would be appreciated.
Thanks in advanced

Hi,
That is sure a video card. Now you have an option, either send your laptop for repair or just order the parts and have it fixed by a nearest certified technician near your place.
This really happens to most AMD laptop.
Good luck

hi,
this indicates a video error has occurred and the BIOS cannot initialize the video screen to display any additional information.
your video card has got a problem.
you will have to send it for repair.
