HP pavilion laptop won't log on

Hello,

So my laptop gets to the lock screen and when I press enter and an area to type in my password usually appears but instead just says please wait. After waiting for about 30 seconds the screen froze so I held the power button switching it entirely off. Now whenever I try to turn on my laptop the same thing happens. Can someone please help me?

Emily,

If you have your recovery disc and you do NOT have important files on your laptop, I would recommend to recover your windows.
It is like a refresher for your laptop.
