Acer Desktop Power Button Not Working

I don't understand why the Acer Desktop's power button has stopped working. There is no problem with the software but the computer doesn't start. The power button has been piece of crap. Can anyone tell me how to do it?

Unplug the power cord and press the power button in for about 45 seconds and release it. Then plug the power cord back in and see if it will turn on

Despite of doing this My Pc was not able to start. Kindly suggest another method

Are you sure your PSU is good?
And the connections from Power switch is properly connected to the motherboard?

I don't think so but the thing is that it suddenly stopped. If this is the case, the one that you are mentioning. Can I repair it at home?
