Hi,
I own a Seagate external hard drive which has worked for many, many years. In recent months though, when I try to plug it into the usb it shows up as "Local Drive (f:)" and there's nothing I can to with it. I click to open the autoplay and everything freezes.

I have done, quite literally everything I've read to do online, including unplugging and plugging in the thing, putting it in the freezer, using different computers and chords. I've also tried to reformat it, remap it's letter, etc. But it doesn't show up whatsoever in Disk Management, in fact, when it's plugged in, nothing at all shows up, same when I try to reformat it. I am at my wits end and need some advice.

Thanks!

It's failed and needs to be replaced.
