Some of the keys on the left side of the keyboard on my laptop are not working, i.e. s,z,q and maybe others.
I had this problem the day before, but it went away and was fine.
I turned it on today and the same thing, but it isn't going away.
The biggest problem is I am unable to put my password into the laptop which is a large inconvenience.
The laptop is an Acer, windows 7 and a few years old.
Any help at all is welcomed.

Hello
There are two main causes which frequently happen with laptop keyboards.
Keys circuits get filthy.
Keys' circuits get oxidated and the connection gets faulty.
In both cases the solution is to have a technician take the keyboard apart to have it cleaned.
If you can't enter your password, I suggest you have an external keyboard handy.
Good luck
