Can't see data on USB stick

Hello,
I have put folders onto a USB memory stick, then tried accessing the folders and the content has disappeared? It is a lot of work that I have done and none of it is there.... Please help!

Can't see data on USB stick

Try a mac data recovery software.I have found one which says they can recover from pen drive but there are others too in the market.

Kindly run the software and check for the files.

Thank you for your reply :-) I was about to empty my trash bin and found a 'ghost' folder so I dragged it out of the trash onto desktop and da da i got it all back.... Then i went into Disk Utility and selected the memory stick and erased the disk ExFat which was a virus on the memory disk.
This means i can now use it on Mac and PC..
