Asus turns lights on but doesn't works

Hi!
My Asus notebook is not working... It turns the lights on but that's it. Nothing happens, no sound, no fan, no hard drive activity... I have tried unplug and detach the battery plus pressing power switch for 45secs but again, nothing... Tried this many times without success.
Asus support says it is a motherboard issue but I is pricy and I don't really think this is the problem. Any ideas?

Hi,

Does it boot but doesn't get to Windows Logo ?

Nope, it doesn't even boot... The power LED is on, but that's pretty much all it does. nothing else happens. Not even the cooler fan starts... The "Bulb" LED is also on, but the HD is not running... BIOS or HD malfunction?

Hi

Certainly looks to me as a motherboard power supply issue. I suggest you see a technician.
