Hi,

You simply want to copy files from Win XP to an external hard drive? Or you actually want to burn/put those files on the CD ?

I had a hard disk with missing/corrupt file.

I set it as slave in another system, now I need to copy Windows file from the master to the slave?

Hi adecool,

Could you tell us the model of the hard drive? If the drive is SATA, there is no need to set master/slave settings. You simply connect the drive and search for it in Disk Management it should be automatically recognized. Could you tell us what are you trying to do? If there were some missing or corrupted files, copying files from another Windows may solve the issue. The best thing to do is to copy important data from the “slave” drive to the “master” drive and, back on your PC, reinstall Windows, using an installation drive.

Hope this helps
