Garbled typing by keyboard

I was cleaning my laptop keys and after that my keyboard started typing gibberish. Sometimes two characters sometimes more even without my touching the keys. Tried restarting several times and now can't type password to open laptop. Tried holding both left and right shift keys as well as Shift and ctrl based on some tips on the Web. Made it worse.

Desperate help needed. Have a very critical professional deadline to meet tonite.
