Hello,

Dear Sir,
My Labtop was struck out due to heavy work. I was consulted One of PC. Local repairer, He was formatted my laptop & Loss all my records, and he installed Gen. Software. (Due to lack of knowledge) afterwards, Laptop is not performed well as it is in earlier stage. Hence, I met with one Sony Specialist. He suggest me, earlier person Formatted totally, installed scraped version, even we can't (repair) get to do with backup. Software. If you need it update as good as fresh one you have to bring “WINDOWS GENUINE DISK "Same version product I.D. I am searching since from last 2 months I was not get Please help me installed. Product Key No: Deleted by moderator

As from Windows Vista, all Windows DVDs come with all versions of the Windows type they "advertise" (eg a Windows 7 Home Edition disk also has Windows 7 Professional). It is the product ky that you put in that determines which version of windows you get. The product key should be on a sticker on the PC somewhere.

There are some exceptions to this ... Windows Starter Pack (for tablets) and Windows Enterprise are not included in this way. Also, I believe that the same service pack version needs to be installed - eg a product key for a DVD with Windows 7 Home Edition AND Service Pack 1 will not work for a DVD for Windows 7 Home Edition WITHOUT ANY service packs.

So really you need to look for a Genuine DVD with the version of windows ans service pack on the Product Key sticker on the side of your machine.
