Hello everyone! First time user and I have SO many problems it's not even funny. I have a very old HP Pavillion DV4-1428 that I was somehow able to get windows 10 on (I think I love 10.) The current problem is I tend to mess with things even though I have no idea what I'm doing. My computer started freezing and I started messing around and now it says an app needs the following windows feature: NTVDM. I've read a lot of the other posts regarding this, but they are all older and talk about DOS and 16 bit etc. and I am completely computer illiterate. Thanks in advance!

when you experience this error? During working of certain apps?

Regarding freezing, it occurs during the time of this error?

It just happened once. I think after it froze I went to somewhere that I shouldn't have been (sorry, don't know where) and deleted some files. That's when the pop up error occurred with saying certain apps need the NTVDM and that I should install it. I don't really use any apps, well office and one drive mostly. Do you think it's something I need or should I ignore it? I left the pop up open and continued about my business and nothing bad seemed to happen...
Thanks!

It is windows feature to run 16-bit application program. If your pc asks for it select install as shown here.

If it is not a big deal or you didn't use 16-bit app then ignore it.

I just installed CCLEANER and this is what it says I'm running on: HP Windows 10 Pro 32-bit
AMD Turion X2 Dual Core Mobile RM-75 4.0GB RAM
So if I'm 32 bit than it's OK to not install it... I just want to be sure.
Also, what category would I post about opening versus saving a file?
Thanks for all your help!!!
