Hello again!
I just love this site! You are all so helpful, especially to a computer illiterate student like me! So here goes another one: when I am at work (they use an older version of Windows, not sure which one) and open, for example, an email attachment, it gives me options: open, save, download, etc. When I do the same thing at home (using Windows 10 and try to open an attachment) it doesn't give me the just "open" choice. It forces me to download it. I don't want or need to download every email attachment I get. Most of the time I just want to open it to view it. Anybody else have this problem or know what I'm talking about? Because when I contacted Windows support, they didn't even know what I was asking! Thanks in advance!

Hello

This has nothing to do with Windows but with the e-mail software you are using.

HI
It doesn't matter what email I use, whether it's outlook, gmail, yahoo, etc. And it doesn't even necessarily have to be an email attachment, it could be anything that I want to just "open". I am sorry, I really do not know for sure what they use at work. I want to say either 7 or 8?? I am also trying to send a screenshot for an example but I can't get it to paste in this textbox, nor do I see an option to attach.
Thanks!!!

at work I use Internet Explorer and at home I use edge (Internet Explorer 11?) but same thing happens in Chrome and Firefox too. it has to be something weird with W10. There's also not as many right click options...
Thanks!

Thank you for the link but it doesn't say anything about fixing it. It just says others have the same problem.

Did that image go through? Ugh!!! I am so frustrated. Is there anybody in Illinois that can help me in person?
Thanks!
