Hi Jay,
I strongly recommend you to check your drive on another PC and with another USB cable. If the files appear green, this could mean that they are encrypted. Try right clicking one of the files, select Properties -> Advanced and uncheck the Encrypt contents to secure data option. Let me know if there is any change.
