Bios does not recognize my HDD

Hello,

I have a WD15EADS Hard Drive, pulled out of external WD eliteBook, or whatever its called and I can´t connect it. I tried different cables, sata ports, computers even tried it with original board from that external case - no result. Disk is spinnning and the BIOS gets stuck for a while, when it is trying to recognize it, but after a while it just continues and after this I can't see it anywhere. Is this drive dead?

Yes, It appears to be dead.
