Hello, I have a HP model laptop. The specs are as follows, 4GB RAM, 2GB Nvidia 940M, Intel i5-5200 CPU @2.20GHz. It had Win 8 originally but I did the upgrade to Win10 after a short while. The issue is that, whenever I try to run a game on it, the frame rate slows down and the sound cracks for around 20 seconds mid game. I tried to run the games at the lowest settings possible but the issue persists. It keeps repeating throughout and thus I haven't been able to enjoy a good gaming experience.

It'd be great if anyone could help me out with the issue.

What games are they? You should be gaining FPS's on 10.

Each and every game, from FarCry 4, Dying Light, PES 16, FIFA 16 demo, Mad Max etc.

How do I solve the issue. My Nvidia drivers are the latest 364.51 version.

So, do they hang in Win8 compatible mode?

Yes, I tried to run in Win 8.1 compatible mode and I found it lags just like it does in Win 10

The total memory is 4bg out of which only 2.2 gb is available. Win 10 hogs a lotta memory it seems. Also my system heats up to quite a noticeable limit. Are these also affecting the gameplay?

if there are multiple Cores with your cpu, then 10 may actually be using them...You may need a bigger CPU fan if your CPU has multiple cores!
