                    Hi there,
How did you try to reset your laptop? Have you tried resetting it to factory settings via CD or you did that by making hardware reset somehow? One laptop could shut down itself due to several reasons like:
1. Overheating problem - you have to check whether the fan is spinning correctly.
2. RAM problem - if you have additional sticks with same specifications you could try
3. CPU error - the thermic paste may need replacement
4. Power management settings - go the power management setup in BIOS
Please, tell me more details regarding the problem that you have.
