In device manager, right click on the drive, choose to uninstall (including the driver). Remove device from USB port, shut down and restart. Once windows is up, plug the drive back into use and see if windows automatically find the device and installs drivers.
If windows still do not recognize the drive, then check manufacturers site and download latest driver.
Hope this helps you out!

Hi belmotodell,
I am sorry for any inconveniency caused by your My Passport drive. When in Device Manager, uninstall the USB hubs, restart the PC, connect you device and search for the drive again. Check in Disk Management if the drive has a proper file format and a drive letter. I strongly recommend you to test the drive on another PC and with another USB cable.
Like jollym said, if the drive is still not recognized, but it is working on another PC, I would recommend you to open the laptop manufacturer’s web page and update the USB drivers.
Hope this helps
