Well, what type of hard drive is it? Does your BIOS see it when you go into system configuration from the BIOS? We really need to see if the BIOS sees it before we can see why the OS doesn't see it.
So when you power on your computer, some writing will say press F8 for BIOS. Hit what ever key it says, and then go to hardware and look for both drives?

Hi Arslan,
Is this a brand new drive? If it is, it may need to be initialized. Like ac3mark said, BIOS has to recognize the drive in order to be able to use it. Next step is to open Disk Management and check if the second drive is recognized. Does it have a file format and a drive letter? If it is a brand new drive, it may need to be formatted and partitioned. If the drive has been used and it contains some important data, do not try to format it, try changing the drive letter.
Hope this helps
