Hello jai,
Please check if all of the ports of your PC are recognizing the USB drive. If you have front and rear USB ports, please try all of them. Also, try your USB device on different PCs in order to see if it will work there.
When connected, no matter on which PC, please, navigate to Disk management to see if the drive has a drive letter assigned to it. If there's an unallocated space showing, you have to manually assign a letter. My advice is to set a letter bigger than M.
