run disk part in cmd.
then select the disk
then type
clean
then close all cmds.
open disk manager
select the drive
format or partition whatever the options are then avaliable.
then select the disk
then type
clean
then close all cmds.
open disk manager

Hi Pyzf,
Is this a second HDD? Does your laptop have two HDD bays or you are using the optical drive’s place? If this is a second HDD, you should have all the options available in Disk Management, including the format and partitions options. If they are not active, follow the provided solution, using the Diskpart command from the Command Prompt.
If this is a new drive which you would like to use a primary drive, you should partition it and format it before installing Windows. If the OS has been installed it will not be possible to format the primary partition.
