Hello,
my wd doesn't work with this announce:
the volume does not contain a recognized file system.
what should i do

Did it ever work? Format it! Please understand if you format it, it will erase all of the data, in case you have used it before. If you have used it before, then it i corrupted, and you may need to reformat it!

Hello all,

@shiro, could you please, give me more information regarding the issue that you have? In order to be able to help you in a better way, I need you to provide me with answers to these questions:
1. Is your WD driver an external or internal one?
2. How do you connect it to the PC – via USB cable or SATA cable?
3. Have you checked in the Disk Management if the WD drive had a drive letter assinged to it? If there's not, you have to manually assign it. If the drive requires formatting, this will lead to data loss.
4. Have you checked the drive with our tool Data LifeGuard Diagnostics? If not, I suggest you to try with it. The link for free download is here: http://products.wdc.com/support/kb.ashx?id=zhMsJU
