You probably need to replace the keyboard. You can use an external USB keyboard until you replace the laptop keyboard.

The laptop keyboard may be replaced. It's not difficult, and there are no long-term consequences. It will work, but if you don't push down forcefully, it's pretty easy to become caught at the "bottom" of the keyboard. This signifies that the keyboard is no longer functional. Replacing a laptop keyboard is not as difficult as it seems. The most crucial thing to accomplish before you begin is to choose which keyboard you need.
