I Can't do anything after my pc turns on

Hello, I can't seem to do anything on my laptop. It was running just fine last night until it froze. After it froze the first time, I rebooting and it started working just fine until it crashed a second time. The problem I'm having is that it takes up to 15 minutes to boot up, and then I can't open or access anything. Almost like it's being slow, but I waited 4 or 5 hours for it to simply open an empty folder I had on my desktop. Is there anything you can suggest? The only thing I've tried was running it in safemode, and that didn't help any.
