Dell inspiron 15R not starting

Hello,

I was working on my laptop when it got turned off abruptly.
After that I removed battery and tried to turn it on with only AC power but to no use.
then i did the static test by removing ac adopter, battery and any other device.. still to no use.
one thing i noticed is when I put my adopter in board it shows green light but as soon as put the other end in laptop , that light goes away.
Any one has idea what can be done?

Short. It sounds like a short within the Motherboard!

Well, i have over 20+ years in electronics. If a light goes out, when you make a connection, then it is short related (99.999% sure!)!
