Please open BIOS and check if the hard drive is recognized. In general, it is possible that an outdated BIOS version may cause some troubles, but you can also be facing a hard drive or a connectivity issue.
If the laptop is under warranty, contact the seller. If it is not, remove the HDD and connect it in another desktop PC, as a secondary drive. Try to access it. If it is not recognized, you may need to replace the drive. If it is working properly, but is not recognized by your laptop’s BIOS, open the laptop manufacturer’s website and find the BIOS updates. Follow the instruction on the site. Usually, when you need to do is boot the files from the flash drive. The BIOS update should start automatically. There may be something specific about your laptop’s model. That’s why I suggest you to check the site or contact the manufacturer’s support.
