Populate data automatically from PDFs to Excel?

Hello,
I wanted to know if there are any option to upload/populate data from PDFs directly onto Excel file automatically? I wanted to use it for invoicing process in which I get vendor invoice in PDFs which needs to be copied to excel file for calculating the sell rates and then get a PDF report of my invoice to send it to customer. I am looking for an option to automate the process by avoiding the manual steps. Any suggestions/thoughts would be much appreciated.
