My home button is broken and my ipod touch 5 won't turn on

Hello,
So this morning I was playing with my Ipod and it went to sleep, normal, so when I went to wake it up and turn it back on, nothing happened. I tried plugging it in to charge and holding the power button. My home button is also broken, so I can't hold the power and home. Is there some way to get all the information off of it? (pictures mostly) Or get it to turn back on without going to a Apple store?
