My passport storage disk drive is not detecting

Hello,
my passport storage disk drive is not detecting. its giving following message;
I/O device error

Please help

Hi Nurmalik,

I am sorry for any inconveniency caused by your My Passport drive. Could you please check the drive on another PC and with another USB cable? Open Device Manager and check if the drive appears. If so, uninstall it and restart the PC. Reconnect the My Passport and check again. If the drive is under warranty, I would recommend you to contact the seller and ask for guidance. Sadly, it is possible that the drive has failed and if it is under warranty, you should get a replacement.
