Sims 3 Crashing

My sims 3 game keeps crashing whenever I start a new game it crashes when I try to put my sims into a house. However it doesn't crash if I load an already saved game. If anyone has and ideas why it does this coz idk and my laptop has loads of storage and everything plz help I love sims and I can't play it properly.

Did you recently apply an another patch or mod? If so, uninstall it and try again!
