Hello,
my dell inspiron would turn on, you can hear the fan spinning and every thing seems normal at the beginning but then the screen turns black and white writing pops up saying "a disk read error occurred" what does this mean? what can i do to solve the problem?
hope i can get some help/ answer asap..... thanks

Hello cintya,
This error means that there is problem with the hard drive of the laptop. Please, restart the laptop and while it boots, enter the BIOS menu by pressing the respective F key. There, you must locate the hard drive in the Boot options menu and check if the drive is set to be on the first place in the boot priority. If not, set it.
Press the key to save the setting and restart.
Tell me what happened.
