Hello, my name is Damrio. I have a pc with a motherboard that uses ide connectors. How can I use a sata hard drive on my pc,: I bought a sata adapter, it has a sata port, and power connector. Can I use this adapter to use a sata drive to boot up in primary mode just like I'm using the ide hard drive I have. Also I'm not sure if this adapter can handle a tb or a 500 gb harddrive.

SATA support any size HD so thats not an issue, so yes you can set that up with no effort, as SATA doesnt even need any setting for primary/master/slave its all handled automatically in bios.
