Hi There,
Firstly you should check what type of HDD you have for instance if it Seagate you need to download your Seagate tools and troubleshoot with them failing to get that working, tried slave your HDD in another machine and backup all your data once you done convert your disc to MBR and format using NTFS format.
That should resolve all your problems.
