I don't know about Dell INspiron laptops but usually removing the keyboard is not a complicate task (removing a few screws, removing one or 2 cables, that's it. Try to find a tutorial on the web for your particular laptop).
Once removed, try to find out if you can "clean" up the default key. If it is just a dust or something like that, it will be easy.
At worst, you may have to change the keyboard.
