LAN connection

Hello,

I recently had to wipe my hard drive on my Dell Inspiron laptop. Once I did this I could no longer connect to my wireless router. I tried using an Ethernet cable to connect directly to my modem but it is saying my LAN is unable to connect. Does anyone know if I have to change any settings since I had to erase my hard drive and reinstall my window XP?

I would download all the drivers for your PC from Dell, on another PC, and copy them to a CD. then use that CD to update your problem PC. If the Dell came with a driver CD you should use it. Good Luck
