Toshiba laptop not switcing on or charging

Hello,
my laptop will not switch on or charge , i havnt been using it for about 5 months. I have not tried any fixes. A previous one i used to own did the same thing and i could not fix it until it was stolen.
I suspect some conspiracy if i dont get to fix this one ,,,toshiba laptop owner consiracy

Try this

1. Remove the battery and cable.

2. Press and hold the power button for 58 seconds.

3. Replug and start.
