If the device is connected through a USB cable you can try with another cable. If it does not have a cable and you plug it in, but nothing happens ... chances are the device is dead.
If it's a USB stick with data on or a hard drive ... there are companies that specialise in recovery of the data. However their services are highly specialized and thus, very expensive.

Hi Jameson,
Are those USB working on your desktop without any problems? Could you connect one of them to another PC and open Disk Management. Maybe the pendrive gets a drive commonly used drive letter and when you connect the device to another PC, that letter is already occupied. In that case you should assign a new one manually.
If the pendrives are not working even on your PC, there may be a problem with your USB ports, causing some trouble to the USB sticks. Are you using the frontal ports of a desktop?
