It seems you have already tried many things. Now check Is your hard drive making any strange noises? Does the drive motor spins up?

I suggest you try the following tools:

https://www.partitionwizard.com/free-partition-manager.html

download this partition tool to check the drive .download the cd bootable version..

As it shows in disk manager the drive has been wiped of all partitions leaving a blank drive.that is why it showing as unallocated space and until a partition is created on the drive it won't mount in windows.

to try retrieve don't create any partition on the drive once written it will wipe the partition you want to recover.

https://www.easeus.com/ad/partition-recovery.htm?gclid=CJrCgpmIq8ECFUSUvQodkjAAeQ

this tool will retrive partitions but I haven't used it..

Hi cshad,

You are using an external drive, right? Please check if the drive shows in Disk Management. Does it have a correct file format and a drive letter? If the letter is missing, you may need to assign one manually by right clicking the drive.
I would suggest you to test the drive on another PC and with another USB cable. If the situation is the same and you have stored important files in the drive, use a data recovery tool and try to save your information. I leave you some suggestions below:

Hope this helps

Hi,

I would suggest you to check your hard drive in disk management. It might be possible that your drive name is missing and that’s why it does not appear in My Computer.
