Hello,
My wife turned her Acer on and it froze on the screen (ACER explore beyond limits) and there is no response to any functions. It also needs to have the battery removed to shut off.
Any ideas, I believe she is running windows 10 from a recent update

Hi Richard Christy,

I would recommend you to disconnect battery and power cable and hold the power button for 20 seconds. Reconnect the power cable and try to boot again. Please check the laptop’s manual for some system recovery button combination. Since it is an Acer laptop, it is most likely to be ALT + F10, but you may need to confirm that.
System recovery may solve the issue, but have in mind that can affect all stored information. If you have important files stored on the drive, you may need to back it up. If the laptop is under warranty, contact the seller.

Hope this helps
