Hi Kine,
So, you are not able to connect the laptop to any TV, not only to this one? There may be an issue with the laptop’s HDMI port. Could you check the Display settings after you connect the laptop to any TV? Do you get information for another connected device? If not, check if you have a driver installation drive that comes with the laptop. There should be a driver package. Make sure you have it installed. Furthermore, you should check for a driver update on the laptop manufacturer’s web page.
