Dell laptop not getting started

Hey my dell laptop inspiron 15 3000 series is not getting started...i tried shutting down restarting..but it shows the log in page and when i enter the passwrd it jst buffers and then suddenly a black screen appears...and it remains the same unless we shut it down..plz help

Try this

1. Remove the battery and cable.

2. Press and hold the power button for 58 seconds.

3. Replug and start.
