Battery problem

My laptop only on when it is plug and won't on when it is unplug actually it began like this on 30/06/2017 my battery became very very hot so i remove the battery for it too cold,when i put it back but the laptop refuse to on again and when it is connect, the light that shows that it is plug will be blinking red instead of a steady white light pls can someone help what am i going to do now
