I dont know what has happened to my sound

Hello my name is alex,
A couple of weeks ago my sound was working propelly except only 2 of my 4 speakers were playing sound.
So i went into control panel and went to change speaker settings and then changed it to surround sound.
I had music playing at the time and then it suddenly stoped, i tried change the settingss back but it still didnt work. Im now really pissed cause my sound doesnt work. CAN ANY1 HELP PLEASE!!!!!!!!

hi,
try to do a system restore to fix the problem.
this will fix the computer to a selected date.
>start
>all programs
>accessories
>system tools
>system restore

heyy thanks for ur reply but i already tried that in safe mode
and unfortunately it dint work :(
