how long have had the laptop? when you press the numlock key does anything blink or light up? if no keys work, but the external one does, be thankful and start budgeting for an new laptop! did you drop it? get it wet? have you vacuumed it off while it is powered off? have you blown the keyboard out with canned air? the fact that the mouse pad, and the keyboard are out of service, makes me think that the connector from the keyboard assembly and the motherboard has been disconnected.
