What's new on Disney+: May 2024, movies, series

In May, a new season of "Doctor Who" adventures arrives on Disney Plus, and Star Wars fans will be able to enjoy "Tales of the Empire". The streaming platform will also release an excellent selection of documentaries about the pop icons and the creator of the legendary TV shows "The Muppets" and "Sesame Street."

Laser sword battles, spaceship flights, revenge motives - you will find all these ingredients of the genre in this six-episode animated series from the LucasFilm forge.

The premiere of this documentary is an unusual occasion: Michael Lindsay-Hogg filmed "Let It Be" still during the band's existence, in 1970. 50 years later, after restoration made by Peter Jackson's team, we can see this chronicle, which has not been widely released since the early 80s. The film follows the Fab Four's rehearsals and studio recording sessions in January 1969 for their twelfth and final studio album. You will also see unique fragments of the group's secret rooftop concert.
