Hello There,

Are you using Windows XP service pack 2?

If in case you dont, just download SP2

Download it here:

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=049C9DBE-3B8E-4F30-8245-9E368D3CDB5A

Then try to plug in the hard drive,

If it doesn't work, Right Click on My Computer,

Select Manage, Click on device manager, just locate your hard drive there then it will be better to format it one more time before you use it

Thanks

i tried downloading service pak 11 and i must have 3 or something because it said i have a newer update than requested to download.
i cant seem to find it in device manager. what would it be under?
i also went to disk managment and did not see it there either.
i did check with the guy who sold it to me. he confirmed its compatible with pc, but he did test it with mac.
